Village Life Of Dal Lake
In dal lake of Kashmir. Houses are also on water and market, ATM, post office and school are also there. the entire town is situated in that lake. it is in 22 square kilometer’s in Srinagar, Kashmir. Dal Lake is so big that almost more than 50,000 people live in it. all the things of daily need’s reach the people there only by the famous shikar boat.
There is a very big floating market in that lake. Which is Meena Bazaar and there people die shopping sitting in the boats. people living on Dal Lake have floating farming. They grow and send vegetables on floating farms only. there are 50 to 60 boat’s at one place. and vegetables are sent on the boat it self. And cue by boat to buy. we cannot imagine a floating market or a vegetable market without Shikara. shikara plays a very important role in the life of the people living there and shikara is built on the lake it self.
